East Midlands PR, marketing and digital agency Shooting Star has been shortlisted for two prestigious awards.
The agency has been nominated in the Public Sector category of the Midlands PRCA DARE Awards for its work to promote the Lincolnshire Wolds as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
And Shooting Star could also be crowned Small Business of the Year at the 2019 Lincolnshire Technology and Innovation Awards.
The agency has been working with East Lindsey District Council since 2017 to encourage tourism in the Lincolnshire Wolds AONB and has consistently met and exceeded its key performance targets.
Originally set up by directors Kate Strawson and Jez Ashberry in 2006 as Lincoln’s first dedicated PR agency, Shooting Star has since expanded its service offering to adapt to a changing industry.
The agency now employs nine staff across its two offices in Lincoln and Newark, who deliver a wealth of PR, marketing and digital services for both public and private sector clients.
Kate said: “We feel very fortunate that Shooting Star has grown steadily throughout the years and is thriving in an increasingly competitive market.
“It would be fantastic for the team’s hard work to be recognised among our peers and to add another award or two to our shelf.”
The Shooting Star team don’t have to wait long until they find out their fate, as both awards ceremonies take place over the next couple of months.
They’ll be attending the fifth annual Lincolnshire Technology and Innovation Awards – designed to recognise, celebrate and reward Lincolnshire’s use of innovative and creative technology – at the Lincolnshire Showground on Thursday 13th June.
Then, on Wednesday 3rd July, representatives from Shooting Star will head to Birmingham for the Midlands edition of the PRCA DARE Awards, which highlight and reward the best PR and communications professionals in the region.
