Ongo invests in next generation with six new apprenticeship opportunities

Ongo is continuing its commitment to developing future talent with six new apprentices joining the organisation, taking the total number across the business to 14.   The recruits will gain valuable workplace experience while studying towards qualifications in customer service, data analysis, HR, digital marketing and housing management, with some also achieving a Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) Certificate to support their future careers.   The new roles include:

Karen Nicholson, People & Culture Manager at Ongo, said: "Apprenticeships are incredibly important to us because they allow us to invest in young people while developing skills our organisation needs for the future. "We're delighted to welcome our newest apprentices and look forward to supporting them as they begin their careers with Ongo." In 2025/26 alone, Ongo helped 243 people into work, filled 96 permanent roles and supported the creation or mentoring of 52 apprenticeships, demonstrating its commitment to improving opportunities across North Lincolnshire. Bethany Matthews, Contact Centre Manager at Ongo, who started out as an apprentice said: "I'm a huge advocate for apprenticeships because I've seen first-hand the difference they can make. Ongo has many success stories of people who started as apprentices and went on to build rewarding careers across the organisation, including myself. "The training, support and development opportunities available help people reach their potential, and it's fantastic to see another group beginning their journey with us." The apprenticeships are part of Ongo's wider commitment to supporting young people into employment. Alongside apprenticeship programmes, Ongo offers mentoring, CV and interview support, training opportunities, work placements, volunteering and mental health support. The organisation also works with local employers to connect young people with jobs, apprenticeships and trainee opportunities.
