Shevaun Haviland CBE, Director General of the British Chambers of Commerce, is planned to visit Lincolnshire on Wednesday 23rd September as part of a programme of engagement with businesses across the county.
During her visit, Shevaun will meet with local business leaders and key stakeholders to gain first-hand insight into the opportunities and challenges shaping Lincolnshire’s economy. The visit will celebrate the county’s unique strengths, including its world-leading defence sector, nationally significant agriculture and fresh produce industries, and the innovation that continues to drive growth across the region.
As well as meeting businesses, Shevaun will experience some of what makes Lincolnshire such a distinctive part of the UK. From its thriving market towns and historic city to its beautiful countryside and coastline, the visit aims to showcase the county as a place of national importance that deserves recognition for its contribution to the UK’s economy and quality of life.
The visit will include discussions with businesses from across Lincolnshire, focusing on the challenges facing key sectors such as hospitality, including recruitment, skills and rising costs, whilst giving local firms the opportunity to share their experiences directly with the British Chambers of Commerce.
Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce hopes the visit will strengthen the county’s voice on the national stage while highlighting the resilience, ambition and innovation of its business community.
As part of her visit to Lincolnshire, Shevaun Haviland will take part in a programme of events and meetings showcasing the strength, innovation, and diversity of businesses and organisations across the county.
The visit will include opportunities to connect with local businesses, hear from industry leaders, explore key sectors, and discuss the opportunities and challenges shaping Lincolnshire’s economy.
