How to use the Media to Boost your Business Workshop

The workshop is designed to help you learn how to secure valuable editorial coverage.
The workshop will be delivered by Mary of Mary Murtagh Media, which specialises in mentoring creative and digital businesses and has trained hundreds of pre-start up and established businesses.
This full-day workshop covers:
- Top ten tips for writing press releases which always get used
- Insider secrets about how to get your business media coverage
- How to write a ‘killer line’ about your business that journalists will love
- Why your business should be media savvy
- What makes a story and how to spot them in your daily routine
- How the media works and what to do to attract the attention of journalists
- The low down on what TV, radio, online, newspapers and magazines are looking for
- Real life case studies of businesses that have won thousands of pounds worth of free publicity

This is a FREE workshop for all businesses, however priority will be given to those businesses in the eligible Collaboration 4 Growth areas of West Lindsey, City of Lincoln and North Kesteven.
Only businesses who are both operating and registered within Lincoln, North Kesteven and West Lindsey are eligible to receive up to 12 hours of business support at no cost thanks to the project funding from the European Regional Development Fund.
