Lincoln businesses to get fastest ever broadband

Lincoln businesses to get fastest ever broadband

Telecoms provider Bluecube has brought the quickest ever business broadband to the city of Lincoln with its new FASTER LINCOLN network.

The ultrafast fibre network is now available for businesses across the city, offering speeds of up to 10 gigabit per second to places that have long been held back by poor connectivity.

The network is up to 151 times faster than the current fastest broadband available in Lincoln, and 555 times faster than the average connection in the city.

The FASTER LINCOLN network comes as a result of a new partnership between Bluecube and Eclipse Networks. The network will cover the majority of Lincoln, from Doddington Road in the west to Abbey Industrial Estate in the east, and from Bracebridge and the LNER stadium in the south to the University of Lincoln, city centre, historic Bailgate and beyond.

Available now, the scheme is open to any business property, with no limits on the number of businesses that can connect.

Paul Reames, managing director of Bluecube: Said: “Lincoln has been going through an exciting period of growth over the past few years. Now, finally, we have the broadband speeds to match.

“For many businesses in the city, FASTER LINCOLN will offer speeds hundreds of times’ faster than they’re currently getting, with everything that means for their future growth, innovation and potential to bring inward investment to the region.

“We’re already getting our first enquiries signed up and we’re excited about rolling the network out to as many businesses as we can this year.”

Bluecube is a Lincoln-based telecoms provider that’s specialised in communications solutions for businesses since 2008. The company offers a complete range of communications solutions for businesses, including high speed internet, office communications or business mobiles at a competitive price.

Average download speeds in Lincoln are currently around 18Mbps, according to Ofcom approved comparison site Broadbandcompared.co.uk, with the next fastest provider offering speeds of up to 66Mbps. The new 10GB FASTER LINCOLN network would offer speeds 151 times faster than this, taking many businesses to ultrafast connectivity for the first time.
