Raising awareness of women’s health at work

Raising awareness of women’s health at work

To celebrate International Women’s Day and to mark the theme of an upcoming webinar, Westfield Health have created two free menopause resources to help support your people in the workplace.

The menopause can have a huge impact on the workforce. Around 52% of the population are affected by the menopause, and studies have shown that menopause symptoms can have a significant impact on attendance and performance in the workplace. Research found that 84% of respondents would like their workplace to offer more advice and support around the menopause.

Join the live webinar tomorrow, 9 March 2022 13:00 – 13:50, where Westfield Health’s experts will be sharing advice for how employers can raise awareness of menopause and ways to support their people. If you can’t attend live, a recording will be sent afterwards to everyone who registers.

Two factsheets are now available for download, one for leaders and one for employees, clearing up some common myths about the menopause and raising awareness of how the menopause might impact people in the workplace:

Menopause in the workplace – for leaders

Menopause in the workplace – for employees

A blog can also be read here on how to support your people with menopause in the workplace.

About Westfield Health

In an ideal world, we’d all be ‘well beings’. Unfortunately, the pressures of work and life mean we’re not always able to achieve this. In the real world, it’s often difficult to determine who is a well being and who isn’t. Someone may look like they’re coping really well, but the reality could be far different.

As a Lincolnshire Chamber member, you and your staff will have access to health cash plans and surgery choices as well as more holistic approaches, helping you to take care of employees in both body and mind.

Exclusively available to BCC accredited and affiliated member organisations of all sizes, the Chamber Primary Health Plan starts from just £6.13 per employee, per month and allows staff to claim money back, up to set limits, for things like sight tests and glasses, dental bills, therapy treatments and consultations.
