Read MoreTeam Lincolnshire launched its new business plan on Thursday (22nd October), setting out some ambitious objectives to boost the economy and increase investment into Greater Lincolnshire.
Around 50 Team Lincolnshire ambassadors tuned in to a webinar and heard presentations from fellow ambassadors Councillor Colin Davie of Lincolnshire County Council, Simon Morris from Gleeds consultants, John McCay from RizkMcCay, and Samantha Harrison and Karen Seal from Lincolnshire County Council.
In three years Team Lincolnshire has grown from a small informal group of mainly property professionals attending MIPIM, the annual real estate show in Cannes, to an ambassador programme with 115 members covering a broad range of sectors and located both within and outside the region.
During the webinar ambassadors were encouraged to sign up to the members’ charter, do more to promote Greater Lincolnshire, bring other professionals on board and help Team Lincolnshire to grow.
Team Lincolnshire’s new motto is ‘Together We’re Greater’, emphasising the collaborative nature of the programme and the fact that it covers the historic county of Lincolnshire from the Humber to the Wash as well as Rutland.
Five strategic objectives for the future were set out:
– attract business investment into the Greater Lincolnshire construction sector
– attract business investment into the Greater Lincolnshire food manufacturing sector
– attract office-based businesses looking to relocate
– attract investment that benefits all
– provide investors with a comprehensive soft-landing package
Future activity will cover all economic sectors with a particular focus on food processing, automation and robotics. In the future there will be a particular focus on renewables / energy, carbon reduction, visitor economy, health and care and digital technology.
Team Lincolnshire hopes to achieve the following outcomes:
– more high quality buildings that enhance Greater Lincolnshire’s built environment
– more food manufacturing and agritech businesses, providing higher quality jobs
– more office developments following a hybrid model, with increased high street footfall
– investors rating the relationship with Greater Lincolnshire better than with our rivals
– Team Lincolnshire members seeing tangible benefits and encouraging others to join
“We had a very encouraging turnout at the webinar and it has already been received well by our ambassadors – several have already got in touch and want to do more to help and support our ambitions,” said Karen Seal, Principal Place and Investment Officer at Lincolnshire County Council.
“Team Lincolnshire is rapidly becoming one of the best and most effective ambassador programmes in the country. Our members work together and go out of their way to promote our area as a great place to live, work, learn and invest.
“We’d love to welcome new members as we move into the next phase of our growth. If you’d like to find out more please do get in touch.”

Councillor Colin Davie, Executive Councillor for Economy and Place at Lincolnshire County Council, said: “It was fantastic to see such a turnout of committed and ambitious Team Lincolnshire ambassadors at the webinar to discuss our plans for the future.
“I know the future for Greater Lincolnshire and Rutland will be bright with such engaged and passionate members to fly the flag for our place, not just locally but nationally and internationally.”
Pat Doody, Chair of the Greater Lincolnshire LEP, said: “There has never been a more important time for people and businesses to pull together, and I am delighted that Team Lincolnshire is going from strength to strength, gaining in momentum and in voice to shout loud and proud about the investment opportunities across Greater Lincolnshire.
“We have strength in our ever-growing partnerships. I am particularly pleased to welcome North and North East Lincolnshire and Rutland to Team Lincolnshire and look forward to integrating them and their business communities into our rallying cries of investment and opportunity in Greater Lincolnshire.”
