Record-breaking crowds celebrate the 10th year of Countryside Lincs

Countryside Lincs marked its 10th anniversary on Sunday 19th April with its biggest and most vibrant event to date, welcoming record-breaking crowds to a sun-soaked day of family fun, hands-on activities and countryside entertainment. Nearly 8,000 visitors enjoyed a glorious spring day, with warm sunshine and clear blue skies creating the perfect backdrop for exploring the Showground, meeting the animals and making long-lasting memories outdoors. The bright conditions helped fuel a lively atmosphere from the moment the gates opened. This milestone year introduced several new features that quickly became crowd favourites. The brand-new Crazy Golf Course proved a hit for families, offering a playful challenge for all ages. There were also new acts performing in the rings, such as the Dart Polo Academy, showcasing this fast-paced equestrian sport, as well as a stunning Shire Horse display honouring the breed’s traditional heritage.  In addition, the event welcomed a new, one-day British Show Jumping show over in the Equine Rings, which was well received by both competitors and the general public, who watched from the viewing hedges of the Iconic Bembridge Avenue.  These new attractions sat alongside returning crowd-pleasers such as the Hawkeye Falconry Display and the Riding for Disabled, both of which attracted packed audiences throughout the day.  There were plenty of new faces to meet, from baby Highland cows at Rand Farm to snakes and exotic creatures in the EXO Centre with Matt’s Mini Beasts. Sensory and musical sessions from Caterpillar Music added even more variety for younger visitors.  There truly was something for everyone, whether it was a coffee for parents or a spot of lunch in the catering area, featuring favourites like Cheesy Pig, Fleurs Kitchen and many more. This year saw record attendance, which highlights the event’s growing popularity and importance to families across Lincolnshire.
