Read MoreTwo Ongo staff members have been shortlisted in separate categories at this year’s ASCP Safety and Compliance awards, for being leaders within their industry.
The annual ASCP Safety and Compliance awards are the only ones dedicated to safety and compliance in the social housing and facilities management sectors.
Phillippa Sturdy has been shortlisted for a ‘Women in Safety and Compliance’ award, which is a category inspired by the Women and Compliance Group. It recognises an individual who has gone above and beyond in their role to drive safety and compliance, and who inspires others.
Emma Atkinson has been shortlisted for the ‘Rising Star’ award, giving recognition to an individual for their hard work and dedication. It highlights those not only making a difference in their organisation, but contributing to positive changes for tenants and the industry.
Emma has worked extensively with Humberside Fire and Rescue around Ongo’s high rise buildings, coordinating site visits and training for the firefighters. Emma continues to carry out this vital partnership work to ensure the lines of communication remain open and information is shared effectively.
When asked about the award, Emma, Property Compliance Officer at Ongo, commented: “I am delighted to have not only been nominated, but to have been shortlisted out of so many other fantastic colleagues in the industry is a real achievement.
“It’s great to be recognised in the compliance sector, and I am proud to know that through our hard work and commitment we are really making a difference.”
Pete Stones, Property Director at Ongo said: “I’m over the moon that two of our colleagues have been shortlisted for national awards, they are both so dedicated and do a fantastic job.
“Fingers crossed for the awards night, but either way we’re all sincerely proud.”
The awards will take place in September at the 2021 ASCP Safety and Compliance Conference. To find out more about them go to: www.safetyandcomplianceconference.com.
