New home consultation: Rowland Road

New home consultation: Rowland Road

A public consultation process is underway, to gather the views of local residents on a proposed new scheme to be built by Ongo.

The scheme on Rowland Road in Scunthorpe will see 11 new homes in total, with a mixture two and three-bedrooms. All will be available for affordable rent, and will see the old Pineola warehouse demolished to make way for them.

The designs are in keeping with homes recently built across the road and will regenerate the area, as well as bringing even more new, much needed housing.

We are looking to gather comments from local residents on the proposed development ahead of any planning application. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are carrying this out online.

Amy Schoenmaker, Development Project Manager at Ongo said: “The plans have been drawn up with consideration for existing homes in the area. We recently completed a huge development project across the road, so the new ones will fit in great.

“There is always high demand for two and three-bedroom, affordable rented homes, so we’re delighted to potentially be delivering more. The views of those living nearby is extremely important to us, which is why we carry out consultation.

“If you have any feedback please let us know, so that we can use this to put together our planning application.”

All comments must be summited by Friday 19 March 2021. To view site plans, house types and submit any comments on the layout, type, range and number of homes, highways and car parking, or design and internal layout, click here.
