Ongo retains Matrix accreditation for the fourth time

Ongo has retained its Matrix accreditation for another three years, following an in-depth assessment of the services they provide to customers seeking employment, training and support.

The Matrix standard is owned by the Department for Education and is the international quality standard for organisations that deliver information, advice and/or guidance (IAG), either as their sole purpose or as part of their service offering.

Retaining the accreditation for the fourth time, Ongo were recognised for their strong community ethos and commitment to improving the lives of local people, along with the social value that their services achieve.

The team support over 1,000 people each year with services including training, social groups, mental health counselling,  apprenticeships and employment support.

Jan Williams, Head of Opportunity at Ongo said: “Since we first achieved Matrix our team and what we offer has changed and expanded massively, and it means so much to us that despite this, we’re able to deliver the same excellent level of service.

“We are passionate about helping anyone that walks through our doors, no matter what level they’re at into employment. Be that through mental health support, training, work experience or developing their practical skills.

“There’s nothing better than seeing someone get to where they want to be, and the core to that providing good information and advice, which is exactly what Matrix is about.

“I’m very proud of the team and would like to thank them for their continued hard work in making sure our customers and clients are at the heart of everything we do.”

A representative from Matrix said: “The overarching comment that really sums up Ongo’s services was made by one of their customers we interviewed, who explained how they help people to ‘lead their best life’.”
