Ongo Recruitment set to expand

After achieving 105% of their annual target, Ongo Recruitment have revealed plans to expand into the industrial and engineering sectors, and offer even more services.

The team have been operating for 17 years and supply temporary project workers, permanent staff and apprentices within regional and national businesses.

They recently celebrated their best year yet with £1.5 million in revenue and £50,000 profit. With this success and an increasingly high demand, they are growing their reach.

One of the reasons behind this is their use of the latest market leading technology to narrow down their audience, making sure specific skills are met, along with directly targeting candidates and running large recruitment campaigns.

This includes full advertising and social media management for each project and is especially useful for our areas green energy projects with specialist skills such as mechanical and engineering, turbine experience, biomass and IOSH requirements.

Their not for profit promise makes the services they provide far more competitive than the average high street recruiter. And as they are part of the Ongo Partnership, all profit they make is reinvested back into community projects. Most recently this has funded food packages for those most in need throughout the coronavirus pandemic.

Rich Green, Recruitment Manager said: “I am incredibly proud of the team and what we’ve achieved, even in times of uncertainty, like now during lockdown.

“It’s really important we offer a quality, professional service. That’s why we’ve really refined what we offer over the last few years, to make sure we do it well. We’re now ready to deliver in new sectors, and can’t wait to talk to more businesses.

“If you’re looking to recruit staff now or in the future, please get in touch with us to see how we can help, we’d love to hear from you.”

At their onsite training centre there are a range of courses available from health and safety to food hygiene qualifications. They also work closely with Ongo’s Employment Support Team who offer training and development, to make sure future employees are ready to fulfil the roles required by clients.
