Read MoreOngo Recruitment are celebrating after passing a series of recruitment compliance exams, cementing themselves as one of the leading agencies in the region.
The qualification of ‘Compliance with Recruitment Industry Standards’ has been awarded to the team by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC), which governs and sets standards for the whole of the recruitment industry.
The team has been operating for 18 years supplying temporary project workers, permanent staff and apprentices within regional and national businesses. To ensure they continue to follow the highest standards, they undertook the exam in June, scoring 100%.
This not only reassures colleagues that their processes and knowledge are first class, but customers that they are in the best hands too.
Richard Green, Ongo Recruitment Manager said: “This exam is something we do every five years as an organisation, and it’s fantastic to be able to have such renowned and prestigious certification to show to our clients.
“The questions are around legal compliance, contractual obligations, employment law and contracts issued to agency staff. That’s why it’s great to know that everything we do is in line with the code of practice, and we are fully compliant as a business.
“I’m very proud of my team for always being so driven and determined, and we will continue to invest in training and development to be the best we can be for our clients.”
It is not mandatory in law to be REC approved, however it is best practice. Due to legislation changing regularly within the HR and employment sectors, the team also attends regular training throughout the year.
All profit made by Ongo Recruitment is reinvested back into community projects, as part of their not for profit promise. Most recently this has funded food packages for those most in need throughout the coronavirus pandemic.
