Local Lincolnshire businesses raise nearly £2000 in support of Cash for Kids at their annual charity golf day.

56 golfers took to Blankney Golf Club on Thursday 5th of September for a fun-filled day in the late summer sunshine.

Organised by Lincoln Business Club, Lincoln’s longest running networking club and kindly sponsored by Pepperells Solicitors and One Stop Business Finance, 14 teams took to the course to enjoy their third Golf Day and Summer Social with local charity partner, Cash for Kids.

Cash for kids’s mission is to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in their communities who are affected by poverty, illness, neglect or have additional needs. They believe that all children should be able to express their individuality, achieve their potential and live life to the full..

Lincolnshire Business Club members nominated Cash for Kids as their 2024 Charity of the Year, spending time raising both awareness and vital funds for their charity partner.

Set in the heart of rural Lincolnshire, the beautiful parkland golf course at Blankney was the idyllic setting for a day of networking, golf and activity to support the deserving charity.

With the generous support of Pepperells Solicitors and One Stop Business Finance, 100% of the proceeds raised were able to go to the charity. The day generated nearly £2000 which will be used in Cash for kids’ mission Christmas campaign.

An additional 25 guests attended the ‘Summer Social’ and enjoyed a prize-filled raffle, and a delicious supper, with thanks to the team at Blankney Golf Club.

Steve Norton, Lincolnshire’s Business Development Manager for One Stop Business Finance said “As well as supporting local businesses with their finance needs,  it is great for One Stop Business Finance to support an important local charity by sponsoring the LBC charity golf day for the third year running, and to see the enjoyment of those participating whilst raising funds to provide the special festive moments for over 50 youngsters across the area who might not have received gifts over Christmas otherwise.

Robert Drury, Chair of Lincoln Business Club “‘Lincoln Business Club celebrates its 20th anniversary this year and also our third year of our wonderful golf day over at Blankney Golf club. Our regular members always say what a warm and welcoming environment Lincoln Business Club offer to local businesses and this friendly atmosphere was evident again at the golf day as we attracted golfers from as far afield as Wolverhampton, Beverley, Hull, Newark and of course Lincoln to raise money for our charity of the year, Cash for Kids. We look forward to seeing all these people and more again next year.”

Lee Pearson, Events and Social Media Executive “Pepperells was thrilled to be one of the sponsors of the Lincoln Business Club Charity Golf Day in support of Cash for Kids. It was a fantastic event for a wonderful cause, and we were honored to play a part in raising much-needed funds to help children in our community. The day was filled with fun, friendly competition, and the joy of coming together for a great cause.”

Many Thanks to all individuals and businesses who kindly donated raffle prizes and sponsored a tee.
