This annal conference showcases the latest research and developments in emergency and pre-hospital medical care and is attended by delegates worldwide.
The conference took place in Barcelona, Spain between 16 – 20 September and was attended by over 3000 doctors, nurses, paramedics and students.
Dr Shayda Karimi first spoke about how LNAA teams ensure that every anaesthetic delivered in the field is given safely and efficiently.
Then Senior HEMS paramedic, Erica Ley spoke about the future of paramedicine and how paramedics are developing as clinicians in the UK.
Finally, Deputy Medical Director, Dr Adam Chesters spoke about mentorship and supervision and how to ensure all our new HEMS doctors become the best versions of themselves.
Dr Karimi summed up the event and said: “It was good to be part of this congress and impart our knowledge to so many people. We were also able to support medical students, Jade
Livingstone and Jasmine Kirk, who had completed their university projects with LNAA and were given the opportunity to present their work to delegates from across the world.”
The LNAA team were able to also learn from other experts around the world and bring back this knowledge and expertise to provide the best care for our patients in Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and beyond.
