Further to being declared an East Midlands Food Hero by Rupert Matthews MEP, John and Susie Carlisle of The Lincoln Tea and Coffee Company were invited to showcase Lincolnshire Tea inside Westminster.
It all started when Rupert fell in love with Lincolnshire Tea after buying it from a local shop. “Rupert contacted us because he loves the tea and wanted to learn more about it. He presented us with a Gold Medal award for our outstanding contribution to local food produce” said Susie. “After his visit he even took Lincolnshire Tea to Brussels to spread the word.”
The East Midlands Food and Drink Heroes campaign exists to promote, publicise and highlight the wonderful food and drink produced in the East Midlands. Lincolnshire Tea was judged to be made by artisans who know and understand what makes a quality product and meet the highest qualities of hygiene and production.
Lincolnshire Tea is getting a reputation for being well travelled. Westminster, China, Belgium, Germany, America, Outer Mongolia and many more. Where will it go next?
