Iwona Lebiedowicz has won the Business Women of the Year at the Signature Awards 2022!
After receiving a client nomination, the Nachural Signature Awards 2022 panel shortlisted PAB Group as finalists in two categories: PAB Languages – ‘Excellence in Customer Service’ and Iwona Lebiedowicz – ‘Business Woman of the Year’.
With bated breath, we eagerly awaited the 9th of September when our Directors Iwona Lebiedowicz and Nigel Garner attended the esteemed Nachural Signature Awards 2022 in London. The prestigious black-tie event was attended by over 500 business leaders with representation from legal, financial, and social enterprise sectors.
Ninder Johal DL, CEO of the Nachural Group of Companies commented: “Very well done and well-deserved award – Iwona’s story is of an immigrant who achieved against all the odds building a strong business that will continue to employ more people as it grows – a very well-deserved accolade!”
William Milsom, Marketing and PR Manager of PAB Languages said: “Iwona has instilled a clear and consistent message for all employees at PAB, build culturally inclusive communities and deliver the highest quality services. These nominations not only reflect how our team upholds these values but demonstrates the guidance, vision, and leadership, of our founder. We are so proud of her well-deserved accomplishment and thank her for consistently inspiring our team!”
As well as being an inspirational entrepreneur, Iwona is also community spirited. She is a Director/Trustee of Centrepoint Outreach, a charitable organisation working with and for homeless and vulnerable people. During the Covid pandemic, she offered the services of the PAB Languages team, free of charge, to ensure that key health messages were translated from English into foreign languages to protect non-English speaking individuals and those for whom English is a second language. In March 2019 PAB launched Celebrating Cultural and Language Diversity campaign, which champions a better understanding of cross-cultural diversity and promotes a more inclusive culture through a range of activities, educational workshops, and community events. PAB Team has developed FREE materials for local Councils, Police Services, children’s centres, and retail stores to support communication and cultural awareness, including Celebrating Cultural and Language Diversity campaign, FREE Translation cards and FREE International holiday and celebration cards.
Iwona Lebiedowicz, who runs PAB Languages and ilc Communication added: “We were so excited to even be nominated for a Signature Award in two categories the ‘Business Women of the Year’ and ‘Excellence in Customer Service’, but to come away with the award on the night is just incredible. We are so humbled and so grateful for the generosity of the judges and everyone that continues to support PAB Group.”
Operating in Lincolnshire, across the UK and internationally, PAB was born in 2009 as a professional, ambitious, and bilingual team of people with a great passion for languages, inclusion, and communication. Led by Iwona, it has grown and now includes PAB Languages, PAB Sema4 and the more recently launched ilc Communications – a team of bilingual, talented copywriters who support marketing agencies and professionals in communicating effectively across the world.
Sara Davison, Commercial Manager of ilc Communication added: “ilc Communication is delighted with the news. This is a fantastic achievement and thoroughly deserved, as Iwona is such an inspiration to the whole team, we are extremely proud!”
