And the answer is… three thousand pounds

That is the total amount raised for charity at the Forrester Boyd Chartered Accountants Annual Christmas Quiz which took place at the Grimsby Golf Club on Wednesday 28th November.

Forrester Boyd, one of the largest accountancy firms in the region hosted its 6th Annual Christmas Quiz which was attend by over 130 professionals who come together for this fantastic event. Hosted by partner Alan Nesbitt, Christmas quizmaster, Forrester Boyd this year nominated charity Harbour Place to be the recipient of any monies raised.

Fundraising came from a raffle held on the evening, fines for any person not wearing something festive along with money raised from the quiz itself.

Alan said, “We are so grateful to all our professional contacts for their continual support of this event. We had a great evening and in the process, managed to raise a substantial amount of money for Harbour Place, a very worthy local charity. At this time of year as the temperatures outside drop and with Christmas around the corner, it can be a very challenging and lonely time for those people unfortunate enough to find themselves homeless. We were therefore delighted to present representatives from the charity with a cheque for £3,000.”

Gill Shaw from Harbour Place said “This was a great night and the money raised will go to helping our work with the homeless and vulnerable in North East Lincolnshire. On behalf of everyone from Harbour Place I would like to say a huge thank you to Forrester Boyd for choosing Harbour Place.”
