After a three-year pandemic enforced break, Business Lincolnshire Growth Hub and NatWest are delighted to invite Greater Lincolnshire and Rutland based manufacturers to attend the fifth Greater Lincolnshire Manufacturing Conference, taking place on Friday 20 May.
This conference will provide an invaluable opportunity for the local manufacturing community to meeting again in-person, hear from industry experts and engage in peer-to-peer problem solving and knowledge sharing discussions, centred around this year’s theme ‘de-risking for a sustainable future’.
The day will kick-off with a networking breakfast, sponsored by the Greater Lincolnshire Engineering and Manufacturing (GLEAM) Network, followed by a full morning of presentations and discussion covering:
· Insights into what it means to develop a greener manufacturing industry.
· Steps for starting your business’ journey towards net zero and how to plan an initial pathway.
· How sustainability can not only be a differentiator to competitors but also help your bottom line.
· The opportunities for UK manufacturers in carbon capture and storage.
· Current cyber threats and how the sector can mitigate the risks.
· Sustainability in the supply chain and what organisations are looking for from SME suppliers.
To conclude the event, three Louth based manufacturers are kindly opening their doors for site tours providing a fascinating insight into their production practices. There will be chance to visit two of the following three businesses, though places are limited and will be offered on a first come, first served basis:
Bottomley Distillers, Micronclean and Wolds Manufacturing Services
