Recruitment resumes at Duncan & Toplis

One of the Midlands’ largest companies of accountants and business advisers, Duncan & Toplis has restarted recruitment in the wake of the COVID-19 lockdown.

Duncan & Toplis employs more than 400 people and it supports more than 4,500 businesses and 12,000 individuals across the East Midlands.

Like many companies, Duncan & Toplis put recruitment on hold during the nationwide lockdown as it focused on supporting clients and giving free information and guidance to the wider business community during the pandemic.

Now, recruitment has begun again with the company advertising seven new roles, and the company will also be inviting applications for its well-regarded traineeship programme from September.

Positions including the role of Audit Senior, Administration Assistant, VAT Manager, Accounts Assistant, Payroll Processor and Tax Trainee are available, with each role offering flexible working, generous employee benefit schemes and exceptional opportunities for growth and development.

Later this month, candidates can also apply for Duncan & Toplis’ 2021 traineeship programme through www.joinduncantoplis.co.uk. This programme offers successful candidates an exceptional start to a career in accountancy, with past trainees now holding some of the most senior positions at Duncan & Toplis.

Candidates hoping to join 2021 trainee intake will need to demonstrate their competency across a range of skills required to be great accountants as part of a supportive and thorough recruitment process.

Duncan & Toplis Head of HR, Heidi Thompson

Duncan & Toplis Head of HR, Heidi Thompson said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be offering new job opportunities for talented people in the East Midlands. From junior roles for people at the start of their accountancy careers, to senior positions with responsibility for important fieldwork and assignments, we’re proud to be creating jobs at a time when they’re needed most.

“We’re also excited to be opening recruitment for our well-regarded traineeship programme, which will give a group of talented new recruits an amazing start to their accountancy career.

“COVID-19 has been a challenging time for everyone, but our team members have worked hard to provide critical support to our clients, helping organisations to protect their employees, sustain their businesses, access vital support and gear up for the ‘new normal’.

“There’ll be hard times ahead for the economy and many businesses will struggle in the months and years ahead, so we’re on the lookout for passionate, talented, diligent and enthusiastic individuals to join our award-winning team.”

The roles presently being advertised will be based in Lincoln, Louth, Boston, Spalding, Grantham and Melton Mowbray.
