Lincolnshire Business Invests In Post-Pandemic Future

Lincolnshire Business Invests In Post-Pandemic Future

Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce member, Andy Price, has set his sights on growth in the wake of the pandemic.

Andy, who owns the insurance brokers Coversure Grantham and Coversure North Lincs in Cleethorpes, is bullish about the prospects for Lincolnshire’s economy and has begun a major investment programme in his staff, offices, and services.

New Faces

Andy’s Lincolnshire offices weathered the pandemic storm well.  Thanks in large part to customer loyalty and his business being spread across property, commercial vehicle and business insurance, his offices continued to grow.  Now with, restrictions lifting, he’s begun a recruitment drive that will allow him to keep pace with increasing demand.

Dan Davies has joined the Grantham team as a Sales Adviser. Dan worked at Coversure’s Head office for several years and is a specialist in many forms of commercial insurance cover.

Andy’s also taken on his first apprentice, 19-year-old Brad Pearson.  Brad’s four-year apprenticeship will equip him with the skills to forge a career in the industry and will earn him an Advanced Diploma in Insurance, the equivalent of a degree.

Andy is also looking to expand his administrative team at Coversure North Lincs to help this busy office maintain its high standards of customer care.

Facelifts

These fresh faces have been accompanied by office facelifts.

Coversure North Lincs and Coversure Grantham have been given new signage and the interiors have been made Covid safe, so they are ready to welcome the public back in from the 17th of May.

New Hospitality Industry Insurance Service

Like many towns in Lincolnshire, Grantham and Cleethorpes saw large rises in the number of hospitality venues pre-pandemic. Sadly, these have been hardest by the restrictions and as they reopen they will need all the help they can get.

To provide this, Andy’s launching a new hospitality insurance service which will offer expert advice to pubs, bars, restaurants, and clubs to help them save money while protecting their establishments over the long-term.

2021: A Year of Opportunity For High Street Businesses

Andy has made these investments as, like many local business leaders, he felt the easing of lockdown would release a surge of demand for traditional, face-to-face services.

His optimism is in line with a recent American Express’ survey year which reported a 69% increase in sentiment toward local businesses. The report cited factors such as personal service, a desire to support local businesses and the chance to interact with people as key drivers of this change.

A New Age Of Traditional Service’

Commenting on the developments within his business, Andy said:

‘This is an exciting time for the business and for local small businesses in general. Losing access to the services we’ve taken for granted has made people value things like face-to-face advice and I think we’re entering a new age of traditional service.

The investments we’re making will enable us to continue to grow and we can fulfil the insurance needs of even more local people and businesses.

“I feel Lincolnshire as a whole is set for great things and we’re keen to be part of that.’

"I feel Lincolnshire as a whole is set for great things."
