Boost your skills at free workshop

Scaling the career ladder is exciting, until you land that new job and realise you need to polish your skills set!

That’s why the Collaboration 4 Growth (C4G) team, which is based at Lincoln BIG’s offices, has devised a FREE two-day workshop to help newly promoted supervisors and managers to hit the ground running.

ERDF Manager Clare Gilman-Abel said: “We recognise that it can take some people years of hard work to achieve promotion, whether that is with an employer they have worked for for many years, or after switching companies to make progress.

“Often, it is only after starting their new job, they realise they haven’t actually got any experience of managing people or that they are lacking in management development training.

“When you are part of a small, private business it can be challenging when you need to start asking colleagues to change the way in which they are working, to move to another section or take on new tasks,” said Clare.

“You certainly need to know your strengths and weaknesses, be clear about your  preferred leadership style and develop effective communication skills, in order to help motivate your team.”

C4G’s  Supervisor to Manager Course – which takes place at The Lincoln Hotel  on March 12 and 26 will encourage delegates to think about their roles and responsibilities and find out the essential tools and techniques they need for success.

The workshop, will include lunch and feature practical activities, syndicate working and group discussions.  Delegates will also leave with an action plan which matches their individual job.

Our workshop aims to be enjoyable and relaxed for delegates, whilst delivering valuable professional training.  We encourage any potential delegates to book their places at: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/supervisor-to-manager-tickets-92891453839
