Riverside and CLIP to deliver innovative adult numeracy programme in Lincolnshire

TWO of Lincolnshire’s leading training providers will be delivering a new programme aimed at improving adult numeracy skills in the county.

Riverside Training and CLIP, both owned by the Acis Group charity, will be delivering the Multiply adult numeracy programme on behalf of Lincolnshire County Council for the next six months.

Through the innovative delivery, hundreds of adult learners will pick up new maths skills – without even realising it.

Multiply is the new government-funded programme, supporting people aged 19 and over who don’t have maths GCSE at grade C or equivalent.

Sessions, which will be totally free to the public, will be focused on lifelong learning through gaining confidence, managing money, gardening, entrepreneurship, improving financial resilience, help children with homework and ultimately gaining qualifications to unlock new opportunities and support career prospects.

Support will be delivered from Riverside Training and CLIP’s bases in Gainsborough, Market Rasen and Mablethorpe.

Hannah Taylor-Dales, Business Development Manager at Acis Group, said: “We’re committed to helping realise people’s potential and making learning as accessible as possible. That’s why our provision through the Multiply programme will make maths relevant to every day and delivery will be interactive and fun, drawing on individuals’ interests and goals.”

Anyone interested in taking part in the free programme should call Riverside Training on 01427 677 277 or CLIP on 01673 843 489.
