Lindum Group will showcase its construction expertise to the food industry at the UK’s premier trade show in Birmingham later this month.

The Food & Drink Expo will be returning to the city’s NEC between April 16 and April 18.

The event runs alongside four other shows – The Ingredients Show, which is new for 2018, Foodex, Farm Shop & Deli Show and the National Convenience Show.

Combined, they will bring together 1,500 suppliers from across the whole food and drink supply chain, from retailers to manufacturers.

Alongside the exhibition itself, the Food & Drink Expo will provide an insightful series of live seminars sharing the very latest food and drink trends, tackling industry issues and examining predictions for the future.

Lindum Group has a long and established history of working in the food sector and has been involved in an impressive portfolio of projects across the country.

We have experience on working on busy ‘live’ sites and understand the need to keep clients’ operations running smoothly during construction projects.

Among the current projects being completed by Lindum Group is an extension to a Greggs factory in Leeds and the incredibly complex reroofing of a malt plant in Suffolk.

Over the past year, teams from Lindum have celebrated completion of a number of construction projects across the food sector.

In November, a ceremony was held to mark the opening of a new M&S foodhall, which was built by teams from Lindum Construction and our KGM Roofing division.

Work on the two-storey, 11,000 sq. ft. unit at the rear of Moorland Centre Retail Park in Lincolnshire began in April 2017, when the concrete foundations were poured. The unit and its 270-space car park were completed on time and on budget.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, store manager Dan Ward said: “As the building was going up, we used to drive by and take photographs and share them on the staff WhatsApp group. We were all really excited to watch it develop.

“Our project managers were really impressed with the quality of the building when it was passed over.”

Just this month, Lindum was delighted to mark completion of a major extension for Leicestershire-based cheese manufacturer Long Clawson Dairy.

Teams from Lindum’s Peterborough base carried out work at the dairy as part of a £7million investment in its Melton Mowbray site.

Long Clawson Dairy is the largest stilton cheese manufacturer in the UK and has been producing award-winning cheeses since its establishment in 1911. The business uses milk from more than 43 local farms across Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire to produce cheese that is sold to major retailers in the UK, Europe, North America and Australia.
