Tradeglaze and Lindum Homes Partner to Deliver ‘One at Charterholme’ Sustainable Homes
Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce members Tradeglaze and Lindum Homes showcase the strength of local collaboration, bringing together Lincolnshire manufacturing and construction expertise to help deliver one of the city’s most ambitious residential developments in decades. Tradeglaze partnered with Lindum Homes to supply and install high-performance windows and doors for One at Charterholme, the first phase of the landmark Charterholme development on the western edge of Lincoln.
Charterholme is set to deliver 3,200 new homes over the next 25 years, alongside new commercial and community facilities. The development is designed to create a thriving, well-connected neighbourhood that will serve generations of Lincoln residents. The first phase comprises 52 energy-efficient homes, with Tradeglaze manufacturing and installing innovative Liniar windows and doors designed to complement the development’s future-proof design that incorporates PV solar panels, EV charging points and air source heat pumps. All windows and doors were made by skilled local fabricators at Tradeglaze’s 13,000 sq ft factory on Bishops Road in Lincoln, just seven miles from the development, before being fitted by the company’s award-winning installation teams.
Charterholme is one of many successful projects Tradeglaze and Lindum Homes have worked on together over the years, with further developments underway. Jeremy Wetherall, Managing Director at Tradeglaze, said: “Lincolnshire has a very strong construction and property sector, and we are proud to support our county’s development projects with our products and expertise. Working with Lindum Homes on a development of this scale is a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate what local businesses can achieve together.”
“For our customers, reliability, quality and confidence in delivery are absolutely vital. Having manufactured and installed quality glazing in Lincolnshire since 1995, we are able to combine the technical expertise and production capacity needed for major developments with the personal service and accountability that come from working with a trusted local partner.”
“Being part of the Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce gives us opportunities to build relationships, share expertise and support the growth of our regional economy. Projects like Charterholme show perfectly that those connections matter.”
Rebecca Hurst-Miller, Director at Lindum Homes said: “At Lindum Homes, we recognise the value of working with trusted local businesses who share our commitment to quality and delivering homes that meet the needs of our communities. Tradeglaze brings manufacturing expertise, reliable service and a strong understanding of the requirements of modern, sustainable housebuilding. Having that capability here in Lincolnshire is a real advantage.”
“Charterholme is a significant investment in Lincoln’s future, and we are pleased that we can work with local trusted businesses. Partnerships like this help strengthen the regional construction industry, support local jobs and create opportunities for businesses across our supply chain.”
The project also shows how established regional businesses can combine local expertise with modern technology from their wider supply chains. Tradeglaze has worked with East Midlands based uPVC systems supplier Liniar for more than 17 years. For Charterholme, the company specified Liniar’s patented 70mm multi-chambered window and door system, offering strong thermal performance. The windows and French doors feature a contemporary Silver Grey finish, selected to complement the development’s modern design.
