The company's total now stands at 23 Great Taste Awards. The results land alongside the launch of a new hamper collection built on the same principle: ten hampers, each made entirely from products that have already been awarded a Great Taste star, cheese, cocktails, beer and biscuits included. Most hampers marketed as "award-winning" earn the label from a single standout product, with the remaining contents unaccredited; this range restricts itself to products that only carry the accreditation in their own right. The collection combines the company's own multi-award-winning lines, including a 3-star Zesty Lemon Curd (placing it in the top 1.5% of Great Taste entries worldwide) alongside the newly-awarded fudge, jam and chocolate drops. The beer hamper features Vocation Brewery, a Great Taste-winning craft brewery from Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire; the cocktail hamper features hand-mixed cocktails from Suffolk-based Edmunds; and the cheese hamper features the celebrated Lincolnshire Poacher, made by the Jones family in the Lincolnshire Wolds. All are sourced from small-batch producers across the UK, from the Outer Hebrides to the Cornish coast. James Tod, Managing Director of The British Hamper Company, said: "Nine new stars in one year, on top of everything else we've won, still doesn't get old. Caramel Sea Salt Fudge and Raspberry Zing Jam have been quiet favourites for years, so having that finally recognised means a lot. Every item in this collection has been through blind judging and comes out with a star, so customers aren't taking our word for it, they're taking five hundred food experts' word for it." The company, founded in 2014 by Tod, hand-packs every hamper and ships to over 50 countries.
