Speaker Spotlight:

Iwona Lebiedowicz – PAB Languages

Specialising in intercultural communication, Iwona works with leaders and teams operating across borders, cultures, and complex stakeholder environments. More recently, Iwona has led extensive research and hands-on testing of AI in translation and multilingual communication, exploring where AI adds genuine value and where human expertise must remain central. She has also led the creation of PAB Smart, an innovative AI-powered communication solution designed to support multilingual customer interaction and service delivery, combining automation with human oversight, data protection, and cultural intelligence. Iwona is the CEO of PAB Languages who empower organisations to connect, grow, and thrive through expert communication, helping companies communicate with clarity, confidence, and impact across borders and sectors. PAB offers a wide range of services including: 

  • Certified translation enabling organisations to operate confidently across borders. 
  • Intercultural communication training supporting global expansion. 
  • Intelligent multilingual communication solutions combining AI with human expertise to deliver secure, reliable 24/7 support. 

 

 

Diplomatic Advisory Hub 

We are delighted to confirm we will also be joined by a representative from the Diplomatic Advisory Hub, who will share insights on international trade, export opportunities and geopolitical developments, highlighting how UK businesses can access diplomatic expertise and government support to navigate overseas markets and drive international growth. 

The Diplomatic Advisory Hub is a joint initiative between the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC), designed to help British SMEs navigate international markets with greater confidence.  

Led by a former UK Ambassador, the Hub brings together diplomatic expertise and business insight to provide practical support to SMEs trading internationally or exploring new export opportunities. The Hub acts as both a gateway and a feedback channel.  

It gives businesses access to geopolitical insights and international expertise, while also ensuring that real-world experiences from UK companies feed back into government departments and diplomats shaping policy overseas.  

Working alongside the BCC’s wider trade support and UK Government export services, the Diplomatic Advisory Hub helps businesses better understand global developments and respond to them effectively. 

 

Chris Barton, the UK Director for the Local Innovation and Growth (LIG) at Department for Business and Trade 

Chris is the UK Director for the Local Innovation and Growth team at Department for Business and Trade and is a former HM Trade Commissioner for Europe and brings a wealth of knowledge.  

The remit of LIG is to promote economic growth in place whilst understanding the challenges and issues facing businesses.
