This Bank of England Roundtable offers businesses and professionals a valuable opportunity to gain insight into the latest economic developments, discuss key issues affecting their sector, and hear directly from the Bank on its current thinking.
Guest Speaker: Paul Mount
Since April 2026 Paul is the Bank of England Agent for the East Midlands. He joined the Bank in 2019 as the Deputy Agent for Yorkshire & Humber. The Bank’s Agents engage with businesses across the UK to build a rich picture of economic conditions in different sectors of the economy. This helps inform the interest rate decisions of the Bank’s Monetary Policy Committee.
Prior to working for the Bank, Paul’s career spanned the civil service, the National Health Service, management consultancy, and investment banking. He has experience of working in several sectors of the economy, including transport, energy, telecoms, health, and education.
