Read MoreThe initiative, which helps customers take part in skills, employment, mental health and personal development sessions remotely, has grown significantly following generous donations from partner organisations and Ongo’s own commitment to digital inclusion. In total Wilkin Chapman Rollits has donated 10 laptops, SureServe three more, McIntyre a further five and Ongo is recycling and repurposing 100 of its old devices for customer use. As Ongo continues expanding its services into new areas, offering flexible and accessible ways for people to engage has become increasingly important. Nearly 40 people have already benefited from laptop loans this year, giving them access to essential services when attending in‑person appointments is not possible. For many customers, barriers such as travel costs, limited mobility, health challenges, or personal circumstances can make access difficult. Providing laptops helps ensure people can get the help they need, when they need it. This initiative is part of Ongo’s community outreach work, where teams deliver support directly within neighbourhoods and local spaces. By offering both in‑person and remote options, teams can ensure that nobody is excluded from the services that could help change their life. Josh Harris, Ongo’s Social Value Specialist, said: “We want to make sure no one is excluded from the opportunities that can improve their lives. “With over 150 laptops already given out or available, we can support more customers in more places than ever before. “From counselling sessions to advice and guidance on getting into work, these donations will make a real difference and we’re incredibly grateful for their generosity.” Gemma Clark from Wilkin Chapman Rollits commented: “Our partnership with Ongo is rooted in shared values and a commitment to positive community impact. “We are proud to support this initiative and are delighted that our donation will help more people access employment, wellbeing and personal development opportunities that has the potential to change lives.” This collaboration is part of Ongo’s wider Social Value Strategy, which ensures every contractor and supplier contributes positively to the communities they work within. From employment and training to wellbeing and community investment, Ongo’s partnerships are built on shared values and a commitment to creating meaningful, lasting impact.
