Tradeglaze delivers commercial glazing solutions for Pennells Garden Centre expansion

Lincolnshire-based glazing manufacturers Tradeglaze supplied a range of commercial glazing solutions to steel construction specialist Timmins Engineering for the Pennells Garden Centres expansion at their Sleaford location.

The new development, opening in September, will add a 1,750-square-metre retail area, an upgraded restaurant increasing capacity from 100 to 250 seats, and extended parking to accommodate more visitors.

Tradeglaze Head of Sales Jonathan Brewer says:

“We were proud to play a role in this significant project. Our team delivered a range of high-spec commercial glazing solutions, ensuring this space remains both functional and attractive, serving customers and the community for years ahead.”

The project required glazing solutions that could perform efficiently, withstand the demands of a high-footfall retail environment, comply with safety and accessibility standards as well as blending seamlessly with the modern aesthetics of the building.

The experienced Tradeglaze team specified a range of high-quality aluminium glazing solutions, including windows and commercial shopfront systems with automated sliding doors. All products were manufactured at the company’s Lincoln factory using innovative Senior Architectural Systems profiles.

Each product is PAS24 tested for maximum security and finished in a sleek Jet Black (RAL 9005) textured powder-coated profile, delivering striking visual impact alongside long-lasting durability.

Will Thornes, Contract Manager at Timmins Engineering says about Tradeglaze’s contribution to the project:

“It was a pleasure to work with Tradeglaze on our project at Pennells Garden Centre. From start to finish, Tradeglaze offered a professional and efficient service. Agreed delivery dates were met, and the workmanship was of a high standard.”

The thermally enhanced glazing that the team manufactured and installed supports the project’s environmental credentials, working in conjunction with additional features like solar panels and LED lighting to reduce operational energy consumption and carbon footprint.
