Read MoreOngo and Scunthorpe United Football Club are thrilled to announce the return of their successful community ticket initiative for the upcoming football season. Following a hugely positive response last year, with thousands benefitting, the partnership will once again offer free tickets to local people. Through the dedicated Ongo Zone at the Attis Arena, 50 free tickets will be available for every home league fixture, ensuring that families, individuals, and those who may not otherwise have the opportunity, can experience the excitement of matchday. This announcement comes as Scunthorpe United celebrates a well earned promotion back into the National League, marking a new chapter for the club and its supporters. The first home game of the season is set for August 16 against Woking, with free tickets from Ongo available, and anticipation building. Kerry Copson, at Ongo, said: “We’re incredibly proud to be continuing this partnership with Scunthorpe United. It’s about so much more than football, it’s about bringing people together and creating lasting memories. “Last year’s project was a huge success, and the feedback we received showed just how much it meant to people. Being able to give a little something back to our community is at the heart of what we do and seeing Scunthorpe promoted, and the joy it brought to the town, was the icing on the cake. “We’re hugely grateful to Scunthorpe United for working with us to make this happen again. It’s a brilliant example of what can be achieved when organisations come together.” Glyn Sparks, Head of Partnerships at Scunthorpe United commented: “What an unbelievable season we had last year, and how great to have so many new fans attending league games that our partnership with Ongo helped promote. “This is a fantastic collaboration which has grown again already for this coming season, we are both looking forward to working together again.” This initiative forms part of Ongo’s wider sport and health offer to tenants, going above and beyond just being a landlord. Similar projects are set to be delivered in partnership with Doncaster Rovers FC and Scunthorpe Rugby, with more are planned in the coming months.
