Over 100 local people enjoy Easter fun

This Easter we held 15 events for families to get involved in across North Lincolnshire and surrounding areas.

In total over 100 people attended the activities and events, most of which were completely free of charge.

The Arc in Westcliff, Scunthorpe held an egg hunt, drama fun, children’s yoga and mindfulness, arts, crafts and games.

Victoria Bradshaw, Co-ordinator at The Arc said, “These activities are so important, especially during the holidays, they keep the children entertained.

“We do a lot of work throughout the year to improve neighbourhoods and engage with the communities we work in, so for me it’s been great to see people come together and build relationships.”

The Viking Centre in Barton had a busy timetable too, with a trip to Rand Farm, fuelled sessions, a mobile mini zoo and Easter bingo for all to enjoy.

Grace Woolley, Viking Centre Co-ordinator said: “We’ve had lots of fun over the holidays, it’s so nice for the community to come together and enjoy each other’s company and the activities we’ve put on.

“With the current cost of living, it’s so important that we are able to put these events on for our local community.”
