Oakham, Bourne, and Holbeach will join Upp’s full-fibre network

Upp’s full-fibre broadband rollout is sweeping across the East of England and the East Midlands. Oakham, Bourne, and Holbeach are the latest towns to benefit from Upp’s fast, reliable fibre-optic broadband, and they’ll be live by the end of the year.

Upp’s network is already live in eight towns, and they plan to deploy their full-fibre broadband to over a million homes by 2025, providing hundreds of jobs along the way.

Their broadband breaks free from the traditional. Many broadband providers use a mixture of outdated copper cabling and some fibre wiring. This is known as Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC). However, Upp’s next level broadband is built using full fibre all the way to your premises (known as FTTP), providing incredible speeds of up to 900Mbps for both uploads and downloads.

Upp’s CEO Drew Ritchie said, “It’s fantastic to see the rapid expansion of Upp’s network across Norfolk, so we can offer our full-fibre connection to an increasing number of homes and businesses across the county. For years now, far too many homes have struggled with poor and inadequate broadband, but it’s great that Upp’s network is already making a difference.” To see if your property is ready to be connected, visit their website www.upp.com and use their free postcode checker. If you’d like to be the first on your street to know when Upp is available, you can also register your interest, and they’ll contact you closer to the time.
