Council leader urges everyone to, Stay at home and save lives

Cllr Paul Skinner, Leader of Boston Borough Council, urges all residents to follow the rules and stay at home following the latest announcement by the Prime Minister of a new lockdown.

Cllr Skinner said: “The NHS is under more pressure than ever before and that means we must do more to protect our health service and save lives.

“I know it will be difficult for many of us, but for the welfare of everyone including yourself, your family and your friends, please follow the rules and stay at home to protect the NHS and save lives.

“The Prime Minister was sure that the new national lockdown should potentially be our last as at an increasing pace the vaccine is being rolled out, he quoted “there is light at the end of the tunnel.”

“Boston Borough Council will continue to support and work for its community, support those people in need and continue to operate their services. If you have any service queries please visit www.mybostonuk.com/coronavirus.”

In line with the new lock down measures the council are in the process of taping off its outdoor gym equipment, skate parks and Multi-use Games Area in the town and neighbouring villages.

The Geoff Moulder Leisure Complex and the Boston Guildhall Museum remain closed.
