There have been some important changes to the Gainsborough Area of the Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce. We would like to take this opportunity to remind you of the fantastic benefits you can receive from being part of the Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce network.

We promote our services at regular networking events and adopt a style that enables business owners to feel we are approachable, accessible and fully equipped to deliver many of the benefits expected by members and the wider community.

One of our key objectives is to work closely with the District Council supporting the economic regeneration strategy and many of the partners associated. Gainsborough town centre is the catalyst for business regeneration subsequently the much needed improvements have impacted positively upon many of the retail outlets. Our future aim is to anticipate obstacles in advance of adverse impacts by campaigning fervently with our partners to enable a smoother process encouraging business investment with confidence.

One of our short term objectives for the Gainsborough Area is to raise the Chamber’s profile, thus increasing and retaining membership so as to maintain a consistent presence in the Gainsborough district. We are committed to explore funding opportunities via the BID process; BID stands for ‘Business Improvement District’ and through consultation, local businesses decides what improvements they want to see within the BID area.

Sarah Anyan, Gainsborough Area President, says, “I have recently taken on the role as President to give something back to the town where my primary business is done. As a local business women myself, I am committed to the difference that being part of a major business organisation can bring; one that listens to the views and interests of its members and then expresses these views passionately speaking as one voice – the voice of local business.
