The Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce and associated entities (Rutland Chamber of Commerce and UKFPN) is committed to championing and supporting sustainability as a core value at the heart of our activities. We aim to use our unique position within Lincolnshire to support local businesses in improving their sustainability performance through pioneering best practices and education within our networks, as well as changing and improving our operations to become a more sustainability driven business.
We acknowledge there are many different definitions of sustainability, but Lincolnshire Chamber of commerce adopts the following definition – leaving the world a better place by responsibility using resources which do not irrevocably deplete the living standard for further generations.’

Quality education
Goal 4 Quality education – Support the engagement of young people through experience and employment routes at the Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce and continued development of staff. Whilst taking steps to encourage and facilitate our members in integrating this goal.
Sustainable Procurement and Events
Goal 12 Responsible Consumption and Production – To improve the sustainability of Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce supply chain networks by influencing both suppliers and consumers to partake in sustainable practice additionally to promote and invest in local suppliers and services to support the community and reduce carbon emissions via travel.
Carbon and Energy Management
Goal 7 Affordable and Clean Energy – To remain committed to delivering affordable and more accessible low and zero carbon energy for our tenants and staff through the ownership of Commerce House, through continued upgrades to our building, as well as encouraging more sustainable behaviours from our tenants and visitors.
Social and Economic Sustainability
Goal 8 Decent work and Economic growth- Become a catalyst for change within the region by promoting local business, employment, charities and social enterprises and investing within the local communities. Work with educational institutions to identify methods to reverse social and economic decline.
Communication and engagement
We will continue to communicate our sustainability commitments with our team and wider stakeholders, and support our members in adopting sustainable behaviors and review our commitments annually, looking for opportunities to improve further.
