Lincoln-based construction contractor and property developer, Stirlin, has commenced site clearing and enabling works on two plots at its growing Enterprise West Lindsey development in Saxilby.
Enterprise West Lindsey is prominently located on Skellingthorpe Road, opposite Stirlin Court and adjacent to the established Riverside Enterprise Park (by Stirlin and Castle Square Developments). The site offers excellent connectivity to the A1 and A46 Lincoln Bypass, making it a prime location for business growth and investment.
The current enabling works for Plots E and F are being carried out on behalf of a private client, preparing the site for the construction of 18 new industrial and hybrid office/warehouse units. Once complete, this new phase will provide additional high-quality commercial space, supporting local enterprise and continued investment in the area.
Enterprise West Lindsey first took shape following Stirlin’s successful delivery of a £2.3 million infrastructure project, which transformed the site from a greenfield plot into serviced development land. The works included the installation of a pumping station, foul and surface water drainage, and new access roads - laying the foundations for a thriving new business community in Lincolnshire.
Since then, Stirlin has delivered a purpose-built 18,000 sq ft headquarters for Lincframe Roof Trusses - the first occupier to join the development. AMS and Independent Fire Inspections have also established their headquarters on site, further strengthening the development’s business network.
Speaking about the commencement of works, Howard Griffith, Head of Construction at Stirlin, said: “We’re pleased to see progress on the next phase at Enterprise West Lindsey. The development has become a fantastic base for ambitious local businesses, and this expansion will further enhance the site’s offering, providing much-needed commercial space in Saxilby and beyond.”
Adding to this, Alastair McKenzie, spokesperson for the developers has, commented: “It is immensely rewarding to see Enterprise West Lindsey continue to evolve into a thriving hub of enterprise and innovation. From its earliest conception, our shared vision with Stirlin has been to create a development that not only attracts high-quality occupiers but also contributes meaningfully to the long-term prosperity of the region. This next phase signifies another important milestone in that journey, reaffirming our commitment to supporting sustainable growth, local employment and investment in Lincolnshire’s economic future.”
Enterprise West Lindsey continues to present exciting opportunities for businesses and investors, with Design and Build options available. Stirlin can deliver bespoke premises tailored to occupiers’ individual requirements, ensuring flexibility and quality across every project. The scheme will provide long-term employment opportunities and continue to support the growth of the Greater Lincoln economy for years to come.
