Read MoreThe 2021 Lincolnshire Sport and Physical Activity Awards will be held on Thursday 11th November.
Nominations are now open for the 2021 awards, organised by Active Lincolnshire. You can nominate yourself or someone else in any of the 9 categories.
This is an opportunity to recognise, celebrate and say thanks to that person, organisation, club or volunteer who has had a positive impact through their commitment to sport and physical activity!
One of the trophies up for grabs is the Workplace Wellbeing Award. This award is sponsored by Active Nation, whose Business Manager Roger Michie commented:
“Active Nation are proud to be working in partnership with Active Lincolnshire to support the Lincolnshire Sport & Physical Activity Awards 2021. Through sponsoring the Active Workplace Award we hope to encourage more organisations to start breaking down barriers to physical activity amongst their workforces. Active Nation have truly embraced the physical and social aspects of health and well-being within the workplace and are a team of doers, not talkers, we practice what we preach.
“We believe that all organisations would benefit from having an Active Workplace programme, and encouraging their teams to help each other to be more active and feel good about themselves both in the workplace and out of it.”
The criteria for the Workplace Wellbeing Award is:
A Lincolnshire employer from any sector that has excelled in supporting the physical wellbeing of their staff through encouraging and facilitating active lifestyles and an active work environment, at home or in the place of work.
A workplace that have continued and/or excelled in their staff wellbeing provision and encouraging an active lifestyle (in particular whilst the business delivery has been disrupted with staff working from home).
Does this sound like you, or a business/organisation you know? Don’t miss your chance! Closing day for nominations is Tuesday 31st August.

These awards act as a celebration – not just of the successes of Lincolnshire’s elite athletes, but also of the huge and positive impact physical activity has on Lincolnshire’s residents, workplaces, clubs and schools.
