Law Firm “couldn’t have handled the pandemic any better!”

Regional law firm Sills & Betteridge LLP has again secured The Law Society’s respected LEXCEL quality standard with glowing endorsements from its partners and staff.

The first in Lincolnshire to achieve the accreditation in 2002, it is the 19th year the firm has been recognised for its high standards of practice and people management and client care.

In addition to the usual consideration of a range of quality standards and requirements, this year Assessor Anne Milne reflected on the firm’s handling of the pandemic.

Anne commented on the efficient introduction of home working arrangements, including excellent support from the IT team and senior managers. Anne also acknowledged that the firm had managed to maintain very high standards of client care, helped by people who took great pride in achieving the best possible results for clients.

The firm’s Senior Partner Stephen Wilson was also pleased to see recognition of the firm’s effective management structure based on clear leadership and sound communication, remarking that “The firm has always considered LEXCEL to be a credible measure of the firm’s performance, but to do so well in a year that has brought many challenges is a huge source of pride to the partnership. We all work very hard to continuously improve our standards, develop our people and provide the best possible service we can to our valued clients.”

Last November The Legal 500, the leading authority on UK law firms, ranked the firm’s Corporate & Commercial team the top Lincolnshire team in the wider East Midlands area, and the firm was the only Lincolnshire firm in the whole of the East Midlands to achieve 1 of 6 places for Client Service.

The firm is also listed for a second year, in The Lawyer, UK 200 for 2020/21.
