Over 100 people tune in to Lincolnshire’s Agencies Masterclasses

SEO Traffic Lab recently hosted a six and a half hour live stream Digital Marketing Training Day.

The event, which was broadcast over Zoom, offered digital marketing training to those who tuned in from the comfort of their own homes. The team behind the Digital Marketing Summit were conscious of the new government guidelines around social distancing. They worked to strictly follow the most recent Covid-19 restrictions whilst still being able to put on an event for the community.

This was the most attended LabLive to date. As an agency, SEO Traffic Lab has hosted numerous events over the last ten years. This was the first time that the company collaborated with other agencies in Lincolnshire to allow each speaker to share their specialism. With over 100 people logging into the livestream throughout the day.

The first two sessions were led by four in-house marketing moguls from SEO Traffic Lab, who shared some of their top tips to improve the return on investment in paid media and also how to apply changes to your search optimisation in order to make some quick wins.

The day included a talk from United Agency on seduction, the digital age, creativity and revolutions. Where, partner, James O’Leary spoke about the most common mistakes businesses make when deciding on the branding for their business and related these in a very comedic way to his previous girlfriends.

When it comes to technology, the team at Wallbreaker provided the most modern streaming software that included facial recognition cameras that followed the speakers as they moved. Ash Wilks, Co-Founder of Wallbreaker, also led a session all around making video content that your audience actually cares about.

In the afternoon there were four talks, one led by Simon Akers of Archmon, who was encouraging challenger brands to take their marketing to the next step with a few simple steps. Ryan Carruthers then inspired all with his session, where he chose one of the viewers from the day to show how simple it was to implement a membership scheme to their business.

After a quick break Daniel Westlake from Cursor spoke about digital transformation and how thinking differently is the key to success. He expressly asked for viewers to not create something for the sake of it, instead to focus on the outcome rather than simply the output.

The final talk of the day came from experience PR star, Kate Strawson from Shooting Star, who has over 14 years working within public relations. She shared the importance of a fully integrated marketing approach, including using PR to increase the results of your digital marketing campaigns.

Each of the speakers from the day then collaborated on a panel discussion in which they answered some of the questions from those who had been watching the day.

Richard Hall speaking about St Barnabas Hospice

Richard Hill, CEO & Founder, SEO Traffic Lab said:“LabLive Goes Online was one of my favourite events of ours to date. It started as a *** idea, and the team were able to turn that idea into an amazing event. We streamed for over six and a half hours, we had different masterclasses from some of the best in their fields from Lincolnshire and the feedback we have had has been exceptional. I could not be prouder of the day we were able to put together, but we could not have done it without the support of the community.

“I owe huge thanks to Ash and his team at Wallbreaker Productions for all of their tech support with the camera set up and the live stream. Also to Ash who was one of the speakers, which brings me nicely to thank all of our collaborators for the day. Thank you also to the Mosaic. What an incredible building, it was made for events like this and we will definitely be making sure this event is a mainstay on our events calendar.

“I am also really excited to have been able to support a charity close to all of our hearts, St Barnabas Hospice. Who have continued to care over these last six months and in that time cared for my Nanny-in-law.

"I could not be prouder of the day we were able to put together, but we could not have done it without the support of the community."

Behind the scenes at LabLive

Ben James, Building Manager, Mosaic said:

“When Richard approached us to ask to use our communal space to host his online event we were so keen to help. That is exactly what this building has been created to help facilitate as the Digital Hub for Lincoln. Our plans for this building have been put on hold for hosting external events given the current government recommendations, however to be able to see the building used as a venue for the online stream was amazing.

“We are proud to still be offering Covid secure office space during this difficult time and for all those who were in attendance we were able to offer a free one-day trial within the building to take at their leisure. Our sense of collaboration as a building is something that we are really proud of and LabLive Online was testament to what an incredible group of businesses and individuals we have in the Mosaic.”

All of the videos from the day will be available online shortly, the agency is currently working through the six and a half hour live stream to make it available for all, at the cost of a donation to their charity of choice.

All the money raised from the day is being donated to St Barnabas Hospice, who have been continuing to provide care across Lincolnshire during the pandemic. However, without their fundraising events, they have been unable to raise the funds needed to continue to provide that care and they are currently down £1m in funds.
