The Arc in Westcliff hosted a number of afternoon tea sessions and youth activities last week, with over 30 people attending.
For colleagues and their families a celebration was held at Ongo House on Monday 30 May, and at their Customer Conference on Wednesday 1 June, a jubilee theme ran throughout.
Myos House, Ongo’s dementia care scheme in Scunthorpe also got residents involved on Saturday 4 June with a tea party and prime viewing of national events in the lounge.
The Viking Centre in Barton upon Humber were due to host a street party extravaganza on Sunday 5 June with a BBQ, bouncy castle, crafts and other fun activities. However, due to weather conditions were forced to postpone. This is now being planned for later on this month, so keep an eye out for that.
Grace Woolley, Viking Centre Coordinator said: “We were so sad to cancel our celebrations after so much hard work from the team and members of the community, but we are so excited it can still go ahead.
“The anticipation is growing and we’re all so excited for it. If you live in the area pop along and get involved, there’ll be lots to do for all the family.”
The team are now preparing for their biggest event of the year, Ongo Carnival, which will take place on Wednesday 3 August 2022 at Manor Park in Scunthorpe.
There will be fairground rides, bouncy castles, a circus workshop, face painting, go karts, stalls, animal petting and more. Everyone is invited and thousands are expected to attend.
