Ongo Carnival

Ongo Carnival

On Wednesday 3 August, Ongo Carnival is set to take over Manor Park, Scunthorpe between 11am and 3.30pm, with a bunch of free fun and activities for the whole family to get involved in.

The event, which is Ongo’s largest of the year, attracts thousands and is their way of giving back to the local community. With fairground rides, bouncy castles, circus workshops, face painting, go karts, stalls, animal petting and fun activities for the whole family to get involved in, it’s a favourite of many.

Performances will take place throughout the day from local talent groups including Messingham Martial Arts, Field of Dreams Dog Dancers, Kimberley Performing Arts, Ruby Twirl Stars, Tsunami, Cheerleading and Fire Storm.

The event has been unable to take place over the last couple of years so is expected to return with a bang, as teams at Ongo prepare for their busiest year yet.

Wendy Wolfe, Customer Engagement Manager at Ongo and event organiser said: “After a couple of years off, we’re getting ready to make this year’s our best one yet.

“Ongo Carnival is the pinnacle for us, it’s our chance to give something amazing back to our fantastic customers and create lots of happy memories for them to enjoy.

“We can’t wait to welcome you all back, so save the date and we’ll see you then.”

Other agencies including North Lincolnshire Council, Humberside Police, North Lindsey College, Humberside Fire and Rescue, Andrews Hedgehog Hospital, HSBC, Helping Dog Paws, various health services, Scunthorpe Rugby Club, Sea Cadets, Samaritans and more will also be there.
