Lincolnshire Business Awards – Terms and Conditions

  1. Eligibility
  • The Lincolnshire Business Awards are open to all businesses based in or operating within Lincolnshire.
  • Entries must relate to activity conducted within the 12 months prior to the awards deadline.
  • Entrants may enter multiple categories but must submit a separate entry form for each.
  • Applications must be within the word count.
  • All charity entries must be a registered charity with a charity number and have an active GoFundMe page, which will be used to raise funds during the awards evening.
  1. Entry Process
  • All entries must be submitted through the official online entry form by the stated deadline.
  • Late entries will not be accepted unless an extension has been officially announced.
  • All submissions must be accurate, truthful, and not misleading in any way. The Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to reject or withdraw any entry that is deemed inappropriate or inaccurate.
  1. Judging Process
  • All entries will be judged fairly and independently by a panel of industry experts and sponsors.
  • The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome.
  • All information provided will be treated confidentially by the judging panel and used solely for the purpose of judging.
  • We may use Companies House records to verify your business details where necessary.
  1. Publicity
  • Finalists may be asked to participate in publicity and promotional activity related to the awards.
  • By entering, you grant the Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce the right to use your business name, logo, and supplied information (excluding sensitive financials or proprietary data) for promotional purposes if shortlisted or awarded.
  1. Awards Ceremony
  • Finalists will be invited to attend the awards ceremony, and winners will be announced live at the event.
  • If shortlisted it is expected that you purchase at least two tickets to attend the award ceremony, this is strongly encouraged for media opportunities and community engagement.
  1. Data Protection (GDPR)
  • By submitting an entry, you consent to the Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce collecting and processing your personal and business data for the purpose of administering the awards.
  • Your data will be stored securely and only shared with judges and internal staff involved in the awards.
  • Data will not be sold or passed on to third parties for marketing purposes.
  • You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by contacting: info@lincs-chamber.co.uk
  1. Confidentiality
  • All sensitive information provided in entries, including business performance and financial data, will remain confidential and be used solely for judging purposes.
  • Non-sensitive summary details (e.g. business achievements, innovations) may be used in awards promotion and press releases, with your permission.
  1. Withdrawal and Disqualification
  • The Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to withdraw any entry that does not comply with the terms and conditions or brings the awards into disrepute.
  • Entrants may withdraw their submission at any time before the judging deadline by notifying the awards team in writing.
