Wilkin Chapman Rollits: Making Charities Investment Ready

This practical and informative session is designed to help charities become investment-ready and project strong, equipping trustees and charity leaders with the knowledge and tools needed to attract funding and deliver long-term impact.

The session will guide attendees through a comprehensive organisational health check, including:

Reviewing governance and leadership structures

Understanding the role and responsibilities of the charity board

Ensuring compliance with Charity Commission requirements

Identifying and maintaining essential documentation

Effectively showcasing charitable status to funders and stakeholders

Attendees will gain practical strategies to strengthen their organisation’s foundations, increase funder confidence, and ensure they are well-prepared for future funding opportunities.

The event also offers a valuable opportunity to network with fellow charity trustees and leaders, share experiences, and build supportive connections across the sector.

This session will be led by Gerry Morrison and Harriet Wheeldon, expert charity lawyers at Wilkin Chapman Rollits LLP.

Gerry and Harriet are members of The Charity Law Association and specialise exclusively in advising charities and not-for-profit organisations. They work with a wide range of charities and regularly liaise with The Charity Commission on regulatory matters.

They are also the hosts of the firm’s well-known In Perspective podcast, where they speak with charity leaders about key sector issues including governance challenges, fundraising, volunteers, and innovation.
