Supporting Your Employees’ Mental Health in the Workplace with Confidence (SOLD OUT)

The Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, is pleased to offer free “Supporting Your Employees’ Mental Health in the Workplace with Confidence” workshops. These sessions are specifically designed for employers, line managers, supervisors, and HR professionals who want to better support their teams through periods of poor mental health while also fulfilling their legal and ethical responsibilities.

One in four people will experience a common mental health problem during their lifetime, which naturally impacts the workplace. These workshops aim to build confidence, increase understanding, and equip delegates with practical strategies to respond appropriately.

Attendees will gain insight into the complexities of mental health in the workplace, the employer’s role in stress management, and how to identify triggers and support early intervention. The sessions also explore the importance of recognising and managing presenteeism, fulfilling the duty of care to employees, and maintaining appropriate contact during periods of sickness absence due to mental health. Practical tools such as the HSE Stress Management Tool and the Workplace Wellness Action Plan will be introduced, alongside guidance on planning for a supportive return to work.

The workshops are delivered by Kay Woollas and Katie Lucas, Employment Advisors with the NHS Talking Therapy Service. Kay and Katie support individuals facing stress, depression, or anxiety by working closely with them and their employers to develop tailored interventions that promote job retention and wellbeing. They also liaise with Occupational Health, managers, and HR teams to resolve workplace issues related to mental health.
