Slovenia: Doing business in the heart of the EU

Slovenia is a relatively unknown destination, but its central European location and close transport links to Asia means it will be of interest to many UK-based businesses.

This practical session will offer the opportunity to hear why Slovenia might be the place for your European business hub, from a selection of key industry leaders and politicians.

We are very pleased to announce that our special guest speaker will be the Slovenian Minister of Economic Development and Technology, Minister Zdravko Počivalšek.

Minister Počivalšek will be joined by a panel of key business leaders who are currently operating in Slovenia. The panel will share their own experiences of trading in this exciting new market.

Advisors from PwC’s Tax and Legal teams will also take part in the session, along with the British-Slovenian Chamber of Commerce, who can offer support and help you through the process.

The country’s strong focus on creativity and sustainability and its highly educated, English-speaking workforce makes it both a welcoming and convenient place to work.

As an additional benefit, their Mediterranean port offers a crucial gateway to Asia.

Hosted by the British Chambers of Commerce, the British-Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and Spirit Slovenia, the session will allow you to :

• discover the key benefits to setting up a business in Slovenia;
• find out what support is available to help you in this process;
• hear from key businesses about their own experiences; and
• understand why this is a perfect potential location for your business.
