Jason Bassett

Jason has spent the last 25 years working within the off-site sector and has delivered operationally zero-carbon projects with Zed Pods such as:
‘Hope Rise’ Bristol which provides young people at risk of homelessness with an affordable home. It is the first Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) development of its kind in the UK built above a council-owned car park.
‘Captain Sir Thomas Moore House’ Hinchingbrooke Hospital, delivering much-needed affordable on-site keyworker apartments on a constrained site delivered at pace during the pandemic.
Three years ago, Jason and Team set up their factory in Peterborough and quickly established links with Prisoners Building Homes (PBH) to employ and train prisoners (serving and post-release) from HMP North Sea Camp to enable them to turn their lives around and break the cycle of reoffending.
Currently Dragonheart Homes have over a third of all their staff from the scheme and remain committed to providing meaningful nationally accredited training such as NVQ’s for construction skills, folk lift licences etc…
Jason is passionate about delivering low carbon homes whilst creating huge social value, working with organisations such as PBH, Employment Advisory Board (EAB) and Crisis Homeless Charity to improve outcomes for the wider good.
