Down to Earth Network – SOLD OUT

Please note this event is now sold out!

This very special networking event is absolutely out of this world!

Join us for an evening of networking at The Collection with drinks and canapes and explore the gorgeous Gaia Earth artwork by Luke Jerram!

Our Chamber team will hold a short welcome, followed by an insight from The Collection representatives into the artwork.

Attendance is FREE for both Chamber members and non-members, so make sure to book your place today and don’t miss out!

This event is fully funded by Collaboration 4 Growth.

The awe-inspiring art installation is by the same artist who recently exhibited his Moon art at the Lincoln Cathedral, Luke Jerram. In Greek Mythology, ‘Gaia’ is the personification of the Earth.

The installation creates a sense of the Overview Effect, which was first described by author Frank White in 1987.

Common features of the experience for astronauts are a feeling of awe for the planet, a profound understanding of the interconnection of all life, and a renewed sense of responsibility for taking care of the environment.

Gaia has been created in partnership with the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC), Bluedot and the UK Association for Science and Discovery Centres.

A FREE workshop funded by ERDF Collaboration 4 Growth (C4G project) in collaboration with Lincoln BIG.
This is a FREE workshop for all businesses, however priority will be given to those businesses in the eligible Collaboration 4 Growth areas of West Lindsey, City of Lincoln and North Kesteven.
Only businesses who are both operating and registered within Lincoln, North Kesteven and West Lindsey are eligible to receive up to 12 hours of business support at no cost thanks to the project funding from the European Regional Development Fund.
