Allen Signs apprentice success!

Signage and printing specialists Allen Signs are proud to announce that their sales apprentice Chloe Wiggs has won Sales apprentice of the year through The Grimsby Institute.

The company, based on Whisby Way in Lincoln, employed Chloe on the 14th August 2018 after she decided to undertake a sales apprenticeship.

Less than half a year after starting, Chloe Wiggs (sales apprentice at Allen Signs) won Sales Apprentice of the year award after being nominated by both Allen Signs’ Sales Director Glen Merryweather and Chloe’s work-based trainer Susan Connor.

The awards were held at The Theatre, on campus at The Grimsby Institute who are responsible for the education part of Chloe’s apprenticeship.

Glen Merryweather, Director at Allen Signs, said: “Chloe has become a valuable member of the team, bringing enthusiasm into the sales and marketing department. 

“Chloe has quickly developed and gained knowledge of the industry allowing for confident public speaking at both exhibitions as well as at network events representing Allen Signs in a professional manner.”

Glen Merryweather, Sales Director continues “Chloe is a valued member of the team and we look forward to supporting her in the final stages of her NVQ and welcoming her on board as a fully employed member of Allen Signs”

As part of Chloe’s studies, she is required to complete various assignments to achieve her NVQ qualification in sales and telesales. Chloe is also working towards to her level two maths qualification.

Susan Connor, work based trainer for The Grimsby Institute said “Chloe works to a high standard and shows a good understanding of the sales role and is progressing well. Chloe is progressing very fast as she wants to learn. I am very proud of what she has achieved, what a star!”

Chloe’s role has developed to now supporting the marketing department at Allen Signs with social media management, blog writing and working on ways in which she can increase brand awareness. Chloe is also attending various networking events around Lincolnshire on behalf of Allen Signs, also allowing her to meet a variety of different local businesses.
