Level 4 International Trade Endorsed Qualification – Education Programme

Working with Export Unlocked we are delighted to offer an international trade endorsed qualification programme here in Lincolnshire to support businesses in international trade.

What is the Education Programme?

Offering two levels (Diploma and Certification) Export Unlocked’ s International Trade & Supply Chain Education Programme, allows delegates to choose from 10 different modules, delivered online and each covering key aspects of exporting and importing.

All modules are conveniently run as half day online live workshops, fostering a comfortable learning environment for your global trade journey.

One key benefit is this qualification is designed around you and allows you to tailor your learning by choosing from one, two, five, or all 10 modules.

Modules will aim to run one per month, with a completion within 12-18 months for those looking to achieve the International Diploma and complete all 10.

Module Topics:

 

Module 1 –         International trade & Research 

This module  aims to develop knowledge on two topics. The workshop will cover the development and importance of international trade, exploring the UK’s international trade strategy and its implementation. The module will also develop knowledge from research activities to gain an understanding of international trade theory. (3 Credits plus 1500-word assessment)

 

Module 2 –         International Supply chain

This module aims to develop an understanding of supply chain management in international trade. This includes defining supply chain management, the relationship between supply chain and logistics, effective supply chain planning and responding to problems and issues associated with international trade.  (4 Credits plus 1500-word assessment)

 

Module 3 –         Export Procedures & Documentation 

This module aims to develop knowledge and understanding of the exporting process used in international trade from novice to practitioner. It includes documentation, incoterms, responsibilities of an exporter, commodity codes, origin and duties and taxes.  (5 Credits plus 1500-word Assessment on Exporting )

 

Module 4 –         Import Procedures & Documentation

This module offers a clear overview of the import process for all experience levels. Covering import documentation, responsibilities, customs, valuation, incoterms, and commodity codes, the workshop provides the essential knowledge to support your international trade journey.  (5 Credits plus 1500-word Assessment on Importing )

 

Module 5 –         International Market Entry, Compliance & Logistics (Social Media, AI, Customs & Documentation)

This module aims to develop knowledge and understanding of the importance of research including social media to find opportunities in global trade. (3 Credits plus 1000-word Assessment: Creating an International Marketing Plan )

 

Module 6 –         Import & Export Customs Diagnostics – Creating a Procedure Manual

This module aims to develop knowledge and practical skills in Import/Export Customs Diagnostic enabling the learner to create a procedural manual to complete international trade operations. (3 Credits plus Practical Assignment – Creating an Export or Import Procedure Manual for a business.)

Module 7 –         Importance of International Documentation & Logistics  

This module is designed to build knowledge and understanding of the essential role of customs documentation in international trade, including the key requirements for importing and exporting goods or services. It also examines the role of logistics, offering insights into air, sea, road, rail, and courier transport. Additionally, the course explores the benefits and limitations of each mode of transport within the context of global trade. (2 Credits plus 1000-word Assessment)

 

Module 8 –         International Customs, Warehousing and Special Procedures & AEO 

This module covers three topics and aims to develop knowledge and understanding of:

1. Customs Procedures associated with international trade, including trade agreements, tariffs and taxes, clearance procedures, transport regulations, customs valuation, preference systems and anti-dumping measures.

2. Customs Warehousing in the export and in import of goods, including the use of duty deferral, temporary storage, the processing of merchandise, bonded stock, consolidation and special processes and services and

3. Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) and the advantages of the status, trusted traders, and the process of securing the authorised economic operator status.  (3 Credits plus 1500-word Assessment)

 

Module 9 –       Sustainability in Supply Chain

This module aims to develop knowledge and understanding of the impact of freight movement on the environment and the opportunities available to organisations to use sustainable options. (5 Credits plus 1500-word Assessment on Sustainability within the Supply Chain)

 

Module 10 –         Creating an International Strategy 

This module aims to develop knowledge and understanding as to how an organisation develops an international trade strategy. It includes establishing export goals, undertaking research into potential markets, developing an international pricing strategy, investigating shipping and logistics, marketing and promotion, documentation, distribution and review and monitoring. (5 Credits plus practical assignment – Creating an Export or Import International Strategy for a business)

What are the costs and how does it work?

Modules can be booked as individual workshops directly through our website at the following costs:

Lincolnshire Chamber Member – £330 + VAT

Lincolnshire Chamber Non-Member – £375 + VAT

A certificate of attendance will be awarded upon completions of each online workshop module.

If you are interested in accumulating credits and working toward the qualifications on offer, there would be the additional requirement to complete a multiple-choice questionnaire, and the assessment associated with the module.

There are 2 qualification options available:

Qualification Options:

1.International Certification: Minimum of 20 Credits Required

Lincolnshire Chamber Member – £2950 + VAT

Lincolnshire Chamber Non-Member – £3195 + VAT

2.International Diploma:All 38 Credits Required

Lincolnshire Chamber Member – £3495 + VAT

Lincolnshire Chamber Non-Member – £3995 + VAT

**Please note to achieve the International Certification, only one of the following modules can be included: Exporting Procedures & Documentation or Importing  Procedures & Documentation.

Module 10 – Creating an International Strategy can also only be completed as part of the International Diploma, unfortunately this doesn’t quality under the International Certification qualification option.**
